How do I fix a constantly dripping showerhead?

A dripping showerhead usually means mineral buildup in the head or a worn valve cartridge. Basic cleaning can stop drips caused by buildup. If it persists, the valve likely needs repair or replacement. We repair leaks, cartridges, and water pressure issues, and install new fixtures. We serve Novato and Vacaville.

  • Turn off the water.
  • Remove the showerhead and clean the screen or nozzles with vinegar.
  • Re-tape the shower arm threads.
  • If water still drips, replace the valve cartridge or seals.
